Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026
TideHerald is a simulated crypto trading game operated by Sayono LLC ("we", "us"). No real money is traded, deposited, or at risk in the app. This policy explains what information the app handles and why. The short version: we collect as little as possible, and we never ask for your name, email, or contact details.
Information we collect
- Anonymous account identifier. You sign in with Sign in with Apple. We request no name and no email — we receive only an anonymous token that lets you keep the same game account across devices and reinstalls.
- Game data. Your chosen in-app username, simulated trading history, portfolio state, rating, rank, and match results. This is what powers the ranked ladder and leaderboard. Your username, rating, and rank are visible to other players on the leaderboard; everything else is private to your account.
- Purchase status. If you buy a subscription or in-app purchase, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple. We receive only an entitlement status (e.g. "PRO active") — never your payment details.
What we don't collect
- No name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
- No precise location.
- No advertising identifiers, and no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
- No real financial or brokerage information — TideHerald is a game and connects to no real trading accounts.
How data is stored
Game data is stored on your device and synced to our backend (hosted on Supabase) so your account survives reinstalls and powers the shared leaderboard. Market price data shown in the app comes from public, unauthenticated exchange feeds; nothing about you is sent to those services.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing. Data is shared only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the service (Apple for sign-in and purchases, Supabase for hosting), and only to the extent required to operate the app.
Data retention and deletion
Your account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account and its server-side data from inside the app (Profile → account settings), or by contacting us at the address below and telling us your in-app username.
Children
TideHerald is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
